Information we collect

Account information, including your name, email address, authentication details, and studio membership.

Content you provide, including studio and game information, press-kit copy, contact details, links, uploaded media, and files.

Purchase records, such as the product, amount, currency, customer identifier, and payment status. Polar processes payment-card details; GamePressKit does not receive full card numbers.

Support and publisher inquiries, including the contact information and message you submit.

Basic usage and device information, such as pages viewed, downloads, referring pages, browser type, and approximate location derived from an IP address.

How we use information

We use information to provide accounts and press kits, enforce plan limits, process purchases, deliver files and video, support collaboration, respond to inquiries, protect the service, diagnose problems, and improve product performance.

We may send transactional messages about your account, purchases, support requests, or material service changes. We do not sell personal information.

Service providers

GamePressKit relies on service providers to operate the product. These include Railway for application and database hosting, Cloudflare R2 and Cloudflare Stream for media storage and delivery, Polar for checkout and payment records, Resend for transactional email, and a self-hosted Plausible Analytics deployment for aggregate site analytics.

If you import a game from Steam or itch.io, the service requests the public page you provide and copies supported public game information and images into your workspace.

Cookies and local preferences

We use cookies and similar browser storage required for authentication, security, studio selection, locale preferences, checkout continuity, and password-protected press-kit access. We also use privacy-focused analytics to understand site usage.

Retention and security

We retain account and content data while your account or published press kits remain active, and longer when needed for security, dispute resolution, payment records, or legal obligations. Deleting content may not immediately remove backups or records we must retain.

We use access controls, encryption in transit, password hashing, and scoped storage credentials. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please do not submit secrets through public forms or press-kit fields.

Your choices

You can edit or remove most studio, game, translation, and media information from the dashboard. You may also request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information, subject to applicable law and records we must retain.

International processing and children

The service and its providers may process information in countries other than your own. GamePressKit is intended for people who can enter a binding agreement and is not directed to children under 13.

We may update this policy as the product or legal requirements change. We will update the date on this page when we do. For privacy questions or requests, use the contact form and identify your message as a privacy request.
